I decided to teach a seminar at Philadelphia Miniaturia this year.  The show is in Cherry Hill, NJ and is held the first week of November (I think, I have to check the website).  I think I'm going to do an advanced bread making class.  I decided not to have a specific project in mind but focus on how to make life like breads and then people could bring their own baskets, bread racks, boxes, etc. to decorate themselves.  That way the materials won't cost that much.  I'll post photos of the breads and more details later on (I have to make the breads first...).  I really have to get my bum moving on this because the application is due - or is pa

The cold that I was fighting finally took hold, but I'm on the mend.  It was ok because I had a chance to finish up some cakes that I'd been working on for a few days. As I'm looking out my kitchen window there are 4 deer sniffing around in my back yard.  They have their gray coats this time of year to blend in with the bare trees.  I love watching them, but I don't love it when they attack my garden in the summer.  I have to seriously think about deer proofing - they ate all of my tomatoes last year (them and an attack groundhog).

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today.  It's damp and dreary outside and I'm thinking that I should take a nap.  I do have cakes in the oven that need decorating and since I need money for horse board I'd better get my bum in gear.  If I could figure out how to add a photo here I'd post one of Cutie all dressed up for New Year's Day.
